CERAMICS
Instructor: Ms. Ivey
Who: Participants are grades 3rd-8th; 20 students
What: Ceramics; Ceramics, Arts and Painting allows for learning and self-expression. Children learn new skills, terminology, and how to focus. The hands-on experience also reduces stress. The stimulation that comes from creative expression is essential to a child's mental and emotional development. Pottery painting allows children to express themselves in a new and unusual way and experience the joy that comes from hearing others respond to their work.
When: Wednesday’s; 3:00pm – 5:30pm; Program will start October 7, 2020
Where: Program conducted via Zoom
How: To make sure this program achieves its purpose remotely; we will provide students with an enjoyable and welcoming atmosphere. Students will be provided with a take home bag that includes ceramics pieces, brushes, paint etc.; all materials that will allow students to be successful in the program. We will meet via zoom, choose a piece, set up and paint together as we would in class. I will still assist and guide students with painting as I would if we were face to face. Students will be allowed to express themselves and show their creativity through their paintings. We will recruit students by word of mouth, after school director sending memo’s and over school website.
